Touching base with Substack
I’m sure you’re more than entertained by others here on Substack, so you probably haven’t missed my posts. There’s good reason for my silence, honest!
I haven’t been as active here as I planned earlier in the year. There was a point a few months ago when I thought I might be unable to post new material to downthetubes.net, because of under the bonnet technical issues. Luckily, that situation was resolved, so I stepped back into the fray promoting, largely, British comics and media, there.
I’m glad my fears were assuaged but it did mean I focused instead on activities there, in terms of feature writing.
In an effort to give some reason for still being here, I can report, in more diary fashion, that I’ve had a busy few days, creatively.
In addition to downthetubes activities, covering news on new comic projects and releases, and Lakes International Comic Art Festival work, I wrote a “Thunderbirds” script for the next Fanderson annual, art in progress from Bill Storie; a 12-page strip drawn by Wamberto Nicomedes is now at lettering stage; lettering in from mighty Jim Campbell for Pilgrim: Secrets and Lies #3, for B7 Media; third revision/review stage of Pilgrim: Secrets and Lies #4 nearing completion to send out to Neil Edwards; plus, most importantly, kept cat entertained while partner away.
How’s your week going?
Art by Wamberto Nicomedes.
